With over 19 years in the alternative health space, I pull upon various fields of mind-body modalities, spirituality and Zen Concepts, alternative health, and neuroscience to create a multidimensional approach to transformation and healing. Each client receives a unique experience as we develop a personal relationship and tune into the individual’s own needs and cater treatment based on those needs. My programs start at, and focus primarily, on the deepest core issues that dwell in the subconscious mind and soma (the body). These two elements are responsible for the majority of the struggles someone experiences and are rarely accessed through most traditional approaches to change like talk therapy or other similar modalities. Everything I do is built upon the foundational concepts of cultivating a sense of safety within the brain and body before anything else. Once the foundation of safety is built through the nervous system, we then build outwards into the more superficial aspects like mindset, self-care, exercise, breathwork and create a unique and full wellness spectrum catered to the the individual. This multi-layered protocol creates a massive mental, physical and spiritual shift that facilitates lasting life change.

I offer these healing modalities via my virtual my practice, and am thankful to work with women across the globe. Collectively, this work is best classified as Energy Psychology (EP), Applied Neurology, and Somatic Therapy. I do a lot of work with the subconscious mind on the emotional body, and use many somatic (body-based) and functional neurological tools for the physical body. Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping or EFT)

What is EFT

Lamens Terms: EFT, also known as tapping or psychological acupressure, involves tapping specific points on the body, primarily on the head and the face, in a particular sequence. While doing this, the person focuses on the issue that they wish to treat. Based on impressive new discoveries regarding the body’s subtle energies, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) has been proven successful in thousands of clinical cases. It applies to just about every emotional, health and performance issue you can name and it often works where nothing else will.Scientific Terms:According to Dr. Dawson Church, “Acupoint tapping sends signals directly to the stress centers of the mid-brain, not mediated by the frontal lobes (the thinking part, active in talk therapy).” Because EFT simultaneously accesses stress on physical and emotional levels, he adds, “EFT gives you the best of both worlds, body and mind, like getting a massage during a psychotherapy session.” In fact, it’s EFT’s ability to access the amygdala, an almond-shaped part of your brain that initiates your body’s negative reaction to fear, a process we often refer to as the “fight or flight” response, that makes it so powerful.Think of your amygdala as a personal alarm system. When you experience trauma or fear, the amygdala is triggered and your body is flooded with cortisol, commonly known as the “stress hormone.” This intricate chain reaction – your stress response – significantly influences and sometimes even causes whatever it is that troubles you, whether that’s an illness, injury, emotion, or even an external problem such as an issue with a friendship.Many scientific studies have validated the effectiveness of EFT and continue to shed light on the mechanisms that underlie the process. Additionally, the physical effects of tapping on the body and brain are being measured and documented, as are the psychological benefits.

What to expect:While EFT is a technique that can be self-administered, my integrative approach personalizes and amplifies the results. Through a thorough intake process and first session we evaluate, sift through, and organize ALL areas of stress, trauma or negative feelings in your life. Using your own words and feelings we then develop a unique tapping script to address these personal aspects of yourself that need the most work. Like with many other of my therapies, once the block is removed the next step is to incorporate life coaching sessions or secondary support therapies to help build and lock in the new positive behaviors and actions.

Brain and Nervous System Re-Wiring

The various brain/body tools I use inside my practice are summed up in what’s called Holistic Life Coaching. These sessions help you release trauma in the body, mindsets, and thought processes that are destructive, re-regulate a dysfunctional nervous system and reprogram your subconscious mind. This work goes in phases. The first phase is always to start with getting to the ROOT of what is really holding us back, causing us distress and pain, or creating a mental or physical imbalance. We do a lot of deep diving into the inner world, old experiences, harmful thoughts. We basically release everything that doesn’t serve you and release it on a BODY level so it stays gone. We also replace those old thoughts/programs with healthy ones that support your ideal self.

Once we remove these BLOCKS with tools like ETF, we have a ton of healing and clarity about who we are and what we WANT in life. Often time we are held back by so much pain, shame, and unworthiness we never even considered what we truly wanted in life. This is where even bigger change can happen. When you know where you want to go and how you want to live you can set an action plan to get there into motion. Once we have that clean, healed slate and no more internal “programs” working against us, massive progress can be made. I work with you to navigate through uncertainty or confusion, uncover your desires, take steps towards your goals, achieve your dreams, execute action plans, and connect to your highest and best self.

Often once clients reach this final phase of the process they can hardly even recognize how much their lives have transformed. Continued sessions solidify and make your new path ironclad and the process only ends if you stop showing up and doing the work. This is the power of energy psychology!

Mind-Body-Soul Deep Dive

So many people have lifetimes of trauma, health issues and unhealthy habits that they need to unpack and address prior to starting any type of therapy, or health program. This program does the deep work upfront, and makes sure you’re set up for success with the most important foundational pieces of lifestyle management based on your unique health history. You’ll complete a pretty in-depth questionnaire that paints the full picture of your mental and physical health status and I take a fine-tooth to comb through that history and come up with 3-5 core action steps for you to implement. This will help ALL identified issues at the same time while giving you the support and resources you need to put those steps into action. After 30 min initial call (this is the discovery call), program includes intensive assessment/intake to identify core areas of most importance, lab work review, and one 60 min follow-up to discuss action steps to discuss findings and create a plan to facilitate a positive change. This call is recorded for you to review later if needed. You then have the choice of how many and what type of follow-up sessions you would like moving forward. Many clients choose 30 life coaching each week for a few months to continue the process and get the needed support for progress, trouble shooting and best implementation.     The Energetic Mind/Body – Reiki

    What is Reiki/Energy Work?

    Layman’s Terms:Reiki is an energy healing treatment that works holistically; on the whole body, mind, and spirit. Not a system of religious beliefs, Reiki is simply a relaxing treatment whereas natural healing vibrations are transmitted through the hands of a Reiki practitioner (acting as a conduit) to the body of the recipient. The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, balance subtle body energies and support other medical modalities including traditional therapies.The “laying on hands” is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.Scientific Terms:A literature review of previous studies shows an apparent link between Reiki treatment and the ANS. One of the most commonly reported effects of Reiki is that of relaxation or a reduction in stress. The ANS is the motor system for emotion; if Reiki were to ameliorate stress it would therefore also have some effect on the ANS. A paper authored by Ramnarine-Singh (1999) states that the physiologic system sensitive to energy-based therapies is the ANS, as it affects the body’s physiological response to stress, and suggests that physiologically Reiki and Therapeutic Touch (TT)—a therapy similar to Reiki—can be measured by recording blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, electroencephalography, electrooculography, galvanic skin response, and hand temperature. Wardell and Engebretson (2001) measured the biological effects of Reiki on the ANS and found significant reduction of anxiety and systolic blood pressure, and a significant increase in salivary immunoglobulin A (IgA) levels, using healthy volunteers for their study. Anxiety was assessed through muscle tension measurement using electromyography as well as monitoring of salivary IgA levels. Vaughan (1995) also investigated the ANS, looking at systolic and diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, and skin response, and found a definite trend towards the lowering of diastolic blood pressure.

    Turner et al. (1998) investigated the use of TT for reducing anxiety levels in burn patients, finding a significant reduction in the TT group in comparison with a placebo group. Evanoff and Newton (1999) found that energy-based therapies significantly reduced pain in a randomized control trial of patients with osteoarthritis of the knee. TT/Reiki has also been investigated within the field of cutaneous wound healing. Ramnarine-Singh (1999) highlights the apparent link between energy-based therapies and the ANS, stating that the previous “psychological” research is difficult to interpret because of the subjectivity involved. It calls for new studies measuring physiological responses within the ANS. Studies by Quinn (1984) and Vaughan (1995) support this hypothesis.

    What to expect.A treatment is done with the client fully-clothed, in any comfortable position. Reiki feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you when the practitioner connects with and channels energy. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Unlike some of my other techniques Reiki requires no talking, assessing, or discussing of emotions or issues. This makes it a great choice for those uncomfortable with the initial process of answering questions, recalling memories or “talking about it”. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

    Subconscious Mind – Psych-K

    What is Psych-K

    Layman’s Terms: PSYCH-K® is a unique and direct way to change subconscious beliefs that perpetuate old habits of thinking and behaving that you would like to change. It deals with the part of the mind called the subconscious, which is capable of creating dramatic and lasting changes, quickly and easily. This process helps you communicate with your subconscious so you can change the beliefs that limit your self-esteem, relationships, job performance, health, wealth, and much more! Thus the overall goal of PSYCH-K® is to help you free your mind from beliefs that limit you and your overall experience of life! Scientific terms:Psych-K was originated in 1988 by Robert M. Williams, M.A. as a response to the frustration that came with the realization that typical counseling techniques, which rely almost exclusively on “insight” and “motivation”. Rob saw how these approaches seldom created real and lasting changes and believed there had to be a different way to change. Rob spent more than 25 years developing and improving PSYCH-K®, drawing on his backgrounds in both business and psychotherapy to create a results-oriented approach to personal change.PSYCH-K® was inspired by a variety of processes, some contemporary and some ancient. It is popularly characterized as a spiritual process with psychological benefits. While “psych” is often used as an abbreviation for “psychology,” in this case it is used as a variant spelling of the word psyche, meaning “mind,” “soul,” or “spirit.”The core of the process involves using something called a “Balance” to communicate with the subconscious mind directly for clarity and confirmation. A Balance is a process designed to create equal communication with both hemispheres of the cerebral cortex of the brain. This “Whole-Brain State” is ideal for reprogramming the subconscious mind with new self-enhancing beliefs that support your goals rather than block them!PSYCH-K® has evolved from years of brain research and hundreds of sessions with individuals and groups.     What to expect:Sessions are 60 mins. The process starts with an evaluation of your current life experience and identifies one core area to address through a “balance”. Through a series of inquiries with the client’s mind/body and the practitioner, information is gathered and cleared from the subconscious mind and replaced with a new program or belief. Testing occurs to make sure the new, positive belief was incorporated into the subconscious. This is all facilitated through a seated and standing position with brief contact between client and practitioner. Of all the therapies I offer, this is the most “subtle” on the surface, as there are generally not any HUGE instantaneous shifts that can be felt. However, the subconscious is now equipped with a completely different thought process and goal which is transformative in the short and long term.

    Somatic/Body – Craniosacral Therapy.

    What is Craniosacral Therapy?

    Layman’s terms: A light touch therapy that helps release emotions, stress, tension, and trauma that have been stored in various parts of the body causing pain, disease, and dysfunction. This therapy helps “reset” the brain, body, and nervous system back to a balanced and highly functional state immediately, and facilitates this state long term as the new normal. In this relaxed, optimal state even further healing can be achieved over time.Scientific terms: The craniosacral system covers the area from the cranium to the sacrum, including the structures of the brain, the spinal column, the spinal cord, the network of nerves branching from the spinal cord, the connective tissue involved between the bones of the vertebral column and spinal cord, and, finally, the cerebrospinal fluid of the body. A set of rhythms — the “breath of life” — are central to the functioning of the craniosacral system, and they can be palpated.“The craniosacral fluid is the source of healing and vitality,” “In a state of deep relaxation and quiet, a practitioner can tap into the body’s own innate abilities to heal itself.” – John Hoffmann. CSTTCranial sacral therapy (CST) also referred to as craniosacral therapy is a hands-on healing technique that relieves compression in the cerebrospinal fluid, bones of the head, sacrum and soft tissues that surround the central nervous system (CNS). As you may know, the nervous system is like the master conductor of every organ and process within the body. By working with the cerebrospinal fluid, soft tissues, and the skull (collectively called the craniosacral system), a balanced brain and spine can be facilitated to promote overall health and wellness.Craniosacral tissues can tighten due to conditions such as injury, tension, trauma, and stress. Either singly or in combination, these four put a strain on the CNS and disrupt normal body functions, including the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. To unclog blockages, craniosacral therapists use their hands on what are known as “still points” with a light touch to release stress and tension from the craniosacral system, thus relieving associated strain on the CNS.Through gentle manipulation of the bones in the pelvis, spine, and skull, the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid which supports the CNS can be normalized, thus enhancing the body’s ability to self-heal and return to its own perfect baseline.

    What to expect: A full session generally lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. The client can remain fully clothed. The client lays supine, face-up, on a massage table while the practitioner applies craniosacral therapy to different areas on the body and spine. Each person is highly unique so there is no “typical” response. However, during the unwinding process, you may have subtle twitching, jerking, eye movements, and waves of different emotions or memories that may come over you as your body releases. You may laugh, cry, feel anger or not experience “much at all”, but the body knows exactly what to do and how once it is on the table. Your therapist is also there to guide each experience and make sure you are not pushing too far or too long in any particular emotion or position to make sure your body doesn’t release too much too soon causing you to not feel well after. Much like a physical detox, the best approach is slow and progressive, with adequate time to rest, recover, and process in between sessions. Due to the unknown nature of each session, it is recommended you schedule on a day off, or at the end of your workday so that afterward you are free from stress and responsibility and can allow your body what it needs.
